Experiencing Life, Moment by Moment

In our first article we went over basic breathing techniques to help you to be more aware of your breath. Just by following our breath we can begin to find ourselves more relaxed and open to work more on spiritual exercises.

All of us have responsibilities and duties to take care of, it can seem hard to imagine dedicating an hour or two each day for peace and tranquility but it is vital for balancing ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Often we find ourselves rushing through our day and not even remembering the actual experience of what we have done. We act quickly, and think even faster. The days, months, and years begin to pass like the snap of a finger, with little left in our experiences.

Now it is time to integrate into our self the beauty of who and what we really are. This will allow us to practice more patience, compassion, and love giving us the chance to really enjoy life, the way it was meant to be.

In combination with our breathing techniques we can use that same feeling of breath to accompany us throughout the day to be more present and experience the actual sensation of life moment by moment as they pass.Here are some healthy and loving daily exercises you can practice to expand yourself to new levels of love:

Washing Dishes

Sure we all clean the kitchen and wash dishes, but most of us do not take the time and breathing to really get into it. Today when you wash your dishes experience this action completely. Find yourself in the soap and water, in the smell, feeling, texture. Blow the bubbles, admire the shining dishes. Don’t try to escape this moment with thingsof the mind, be there fully and watch. This simple household task was taken and made into a beautiful moment.

Moisturizing Your Beautiful Body

Next time you take a shower,  bath yourself in some soft oil or cream. Feel the experience completely. Take your time, surrender to this moment. Admire your beautiful body, feel the texture of your skin, the curves, freckles, hairs. This is you, love this moment fully. Giving yourself love and attention will allow you to be more open to receiving love – this is very important.

An Afternoon Of Clouds

Find the most comfy blanket and head up to the roof of your building, park, or nearby window. Get super relaxed, start out with some breathing techniques and then just lay back and watch the clouds pass. As the thoughts come in your mind, let the pass like each cloud. Imagine yourself on one of those clouds just drifting from here to there. This could be your next favorite hobby, enjoy!

The list of relaxation exercises could be very long. Everything from observing a candle, eating a piece of chocolate with patience, smiling at every person you pass, so on and so forth. Get creative and find new ways thatmake you feel good, then fill your day with them.

Life is so amazing, always remember that.
